Bees as biosensors creating a
positive impact on livelihoods
and biodiversity worldwide!

Unlocking an urgently needed source of environmental intelligence and data: natural, scalable, available.

Providing beekeepers with a way to authenticate the origin of their honey and hive products through a closed-loop validation of their practices to improve market access and increase product differentiation for smallholder producers.

Using decentralized and crowd-sourced monitoring of biodiversity and pollination metrics, we're building the foundations for a Biodiversity credit marketplace, which enables the transfer of financial value from polluters to biodiversity stewards, our beekeepers.

With data-driven validation of bee health and productivity, we work to empower smallholder beekeepers and businesses to access credit and insurance products that grow their business and planet-positive impact.

for Beekeepers

What is bee data?

Since 2010, HiveTracks has been crowdsourcing environmental data collection globally using bees as biosensors. Our products enable beekeepers, beekeeping businesses, governments, and NGOs worldwide to improve their practices and better understand their bees.

Our vision is to create a positive impact on bee health, beekeeper livelihoods, and biodiversity by connecting people, nature, and data.

HiveTracks views beekeepers as stewards of our planet and the environment. We believe that creating a more livable planet cannot be accomplished without the help of beekeepers and their bees.

Building the first sustainable marketplace for
crowd-sourced biodiversity data

Leveraging technology and data to solve the biggest bottleneck in biodiversity monitoring:

scalable, ground-truthed data collection to measure and monitor a quantifiable positive impact on biodiversity.

Executed Projects

AI-Driven Climate-Smart Beekeeping Advisory & Extension

Funded by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and our project partner ICARDA, we are happy to announce that we will be bringing interactive and remote pest management advice to beekeepers in Lebanon in 2022.

Funded by the European Commission, HiveTracks is a proud member of the WorldFAIR project. Working with international industry experts and researchers, this initiative aims to set the international standard for plant-pollinator interaction data.
